Want to get involved and meet the CCA team but aren’t able to pick up litter, not keen on doing that (1) or perhaps don’t have much free time? Then maybe one of the CCA trips would suit you. Coach trips allow us to go to new places without the hassle of driving and with the bonus of some company if you want it whilst supporting our work financially. Win, win

Plans are hatching for a day trip to the beautiful botanical gardens near Ejido (south of Almeria) stopping for lunch and to explore the marina and promenade area in Roquetas del Mar. Currently in the planning stage I am researching the area and options for a trip in the summer.
A trip of a lifetime aboard a beautiful wooden sailing ship. This really was the highlight of my year when we did the first one in 2019. Embarking at Cartegena in the evening we meet the crew and eat somewhere locally before sleeping aboard ready for our first day’s adventure. For the next 2 days we sail out (no sailing experience needed, you can just relax) looking for whales and dolphins along the way. The crew cook and we all muck in to set and clear the table etc. The cabins are pretty basic but clean and functional with bunks for 2 and a small toilet and sink in each. Seeing Dolphins and Whales is not guaranteed so it is best to think of this as a sailing trip and sea life as a bonus. All meals except the first night in port are included and come served with beer and wine. If you suffer from seasickness this trip is not recommended as it would be miserable! However mild seasickness can be treated using pills which are easily available from pharmacies.
I am hoping to do at least 3 of these trips during 2020. If you are interested and in Spain for certain weeks please let me know and I will see if I can arrange something to accommodate. A minimum of 10 people required in total (9 + me)
Seeing dolphins in the wild is a thrilling experience and is highly recommended. Departing from the central Mazzaron port this 5 hr boat trip takes 10 passengers out to look for dolphins and Whales off of the coast. The crew are friendly and knowledgeable and speak good English for those of us who may not be great at discussing marine life facts in Spanish. As the boat leaves the port a marine guide talks to the group about species found in the area, giving helpful tips for identification and guidelines for a safe and un-intrusive experience. Sightings cannot be guaranteed so if you are unlucky enough to not see any a return trip is offered free of charge to be arranged at your convenience. If on the other hand you see a good number early on, the chance for a quick dip and snorkel is sometimes offered in a beautiful cove depending on the preference of the group and weather.
In 2019 we did 7 dolphin watching trips. I hope to offer them every month throughout 2020 between May and October. I can be flexible about days depending on availability but will need a minimum of 10 people for the trip. If you and a few friends want to go I will do my best to arrange it around you.
Parking near the port and collecting everybody again 6 hours later the Coach trip to this beautiful city where history abounds with more than 7 museums (including the Military and Nautical) The Roman Coliseum and a huge port amongst other attractions was a resounding success with plenty to see and something for everybody.
I expect to offer at least one trip to Cartengena this year. Dates to be confirmed.
We’ve attended this festival as a group twice. Held early in the year and rated as second best in the world after Rio it is spectacular. Troops of dancers of all ages dressed in stunning costumes form parades that delight as they pass by the seated spectators.
The annual event goes on throughout a week of celebrations. We attend on one of the evenings and coaches fill up quickly.
Where we are given a short talk about the cycle of butterfly life and learn about the numerous beautiful species at the park. We have time to mooch around the village checking out the ceramics and rugs the area is famous for or grab a coffee before heading to Torre Cardenas shopping centre for lunch and a browse of the high street stores.
Trips are held throughout the summer. Contact me to find out when the next one is. Contact details below.
